Key Responsibilities:

Capex Procurement & Project Management:

- Oversee procurement of machinery, equipment, plant infrastructure materials, and utilities for new and existing facilities.

- Ensure on-time delivery and commissioning of equipment to support plant expansions and greenfield projects.

- Prepare project procurement budgets and track expenditures within approved limits.

Vendor Development & Negotiations:

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors, contractors, and OEMs.

- Lead negotiations to achieve the best value procurement while ensuring quality and service standards.

- Develop long-term supplier relationships for competitive advantage.

Process & Compliance:

- Standardize capex procurement processes across plants for transparency, efficiency, and audit compliance.

- Ensure adherence to statutory norms, safety regulations, and legal compliance in vendor contracts.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with the Projects, Engineering, and Production teams to align procurement timelines with plant commissioning schedules.

- Coordinate with finance for vendor payments, LC arrangements, and contract management.

Innovation & Cost Optimization:

- Explore emerging technologies, automation solutions, and cost-effective sourcing models.

- Benchmark procurement practices with industry leaders to drive continuous improvement.

Key Requirements:

- Experience: 12+ years in procurement/project management within industrial manufacturing, FMCG, agri-processing, or heavy engineering.

- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of plant setup, machinery sourcing, vendor ecosystems, and project timelines.

- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering; MBA in Supply Chain/Operations preferred.

- Skills: Vendor negotiations, project cost control, technical understanding of equipment, ERP/Procurement tools.

- Preferred: Experience in greenfield/brownfield projects and capex procurement in multi-plant environments.
