Senior Node.js Developer (Next.js, React.js, Prisma, TDD)


We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Node.js Developer with expertise in Next.js, React.js, Prisma, and Test-Driven Development (TDD) to join our team. As a senior member of our development team, you will lead the design and implementation of complex web applications, mentor junior developers, and drive best practices in software development.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and performant web applications using Node.js, Next.js, and React.js.
  • Lead architectural decisions and contribute to the technical roadmap of our projects.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Implement and maintain RESTful APIs endpoints using best practices.
  • Utilize Prisma ORM for database interactions and schema management.
  • Implement and advocate for Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Lead code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and enforce coding standards.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Node.js Developer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Extensive experience with Next.js and React.js, including server-side rendering and state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX).
  • Deep understanding of Prisma ORM for database modelling, schema migrations, and query optimization.
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright Jest, Mocha).
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Proficient in using version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior developers.
