Job Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with extensive experience in COBOL, JCL, and mainframe databases to support mission-critical systems. The role requires expertise in VSAM file processing and a solid understanding of US healthcare systems. You will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining mainframe applications in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL and JCL.
- Manage and optimize database operations using DB2 or IMS-DB.
- Perform VSAM file processing (mandatory requirement).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and maintain proper documentation.
- Support production issues, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Work within US Healthcare domain requirements to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Minimum 6+ years of hands-on mainframe development experience.
- Proficiency in COBOL and JCL.
- Strong knowledge of VSAM file processing (mandatory).
- Experience with DB2 or IMS-DB.
- Solid understanding of mainframe file systems and data structures.
- US Healthcare domain experience is a must.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
