About This Role:

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Information Security Engineer to help design, implement, and maintain our organization's security posture.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cybersecurity, a proactive mindset, and a passion for protecting systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection systems.
  • Monitor systems for security breaches and respond to incidents swiftly and effectively.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and risk assessments.
  • Work closely with DevOps, IT, and Engineering teams to embed security into systems and processes.
  • Manage identity and access management (IAM), ensuring least privilege and role-based access.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Investigate and remediate security incidents, including root cause analysis.
  • Stay current with the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies in the information security landscape.
  • Support compliance with relevant frameworks and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools like Snort, Suricata, Wireshark, Splunk, CrowdStrike, etc.
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, system hardening, and secure architectures.
  • Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or CISM are a strong advantage.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Zero Trust architectures.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline security.
  • Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
