About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Risk Operations Associate to join our Risk Management team. This role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of experience in financial services who is passionate about risk control, process integrity, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will support day-to-day risk monitoring, reporting, and mitigation efforts across trading operations, investment & financial products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Review: Analyze client transactions, account behavior, and escalations to identify anomalies or potential risk indicators.
- Daily risk monitoring: Track trading positions, P&L, margin requirements, and exposures across asset classes (e.g., commodities, equities, derivatives, FX).
- Reporting & Dashboards: Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly risk reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory submissions.
- Reconciliations: Support reconciliation of risk and finance data to ensure accuracy of exposures, balances, and margin requirements.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with trading, compliance, back-office operations teams for issue resolution and controls enhancement.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies or gaps in operational risk processes and contribute to automation or controls enhancement.
- Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed about applicable regulatory and industry standards (e.g., RBI, SEBI, Basel norms, etc.).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- 1-2 years of experience in risk operations within a financial services sector.
- Strong analytical skills with a good understanding of risk management concepts and financial markets.
- Proficient in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic macros); knowledge of SQL, Python, or BI tools is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a highly regulated environment.
Job Location- Gift City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in NBFCs, fintechs, or investment firms.
- Experience in handling large trading books including physical commodity assets
- Certifications such as FRM (Level 1), CFA (Level 1), or related credentials are an added advantage.
