DevOps Architect( Azure)

Location : Mohali ( Work From Office)

Experience : 8-12 :

We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Architect to lead our DevOps team in the implementation and management of our cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Azure cloud technologies, as well as hands-on expertise in managing large-scale ecommerce projects and a deep understanding of key technologies such as Kafka, in-memory databases, Aerospike, MongoDB Atlas, Kubernetes (K8s), and Akamai. Additionally, the candidate should be Azure certified and possess strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team, drive governance, oversee release management, and ensure compliance with security :

- Lead the implementation and management of Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.

- Work on large-scale ecommerce projects, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

- Provide hands-on expertise in technologies such as Kafka, in-memory databases, Aerospike, MongoDB Atlas, Kubernetes (K8s), and Akamai.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements and align with architectural standards.

- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in all aspects of cloud infrastructure and DevOps operations.

- Handle critical issues (P0) and provide support during nights or weekends as needed.

- Manage a larger team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.

- Drive governance initiatives, including policy development, enforcement, and compliance monitoring.

- Oversee release management processes, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and deployment automation.

- Lead agile/scrum ceremonies and drive the adoption of agile methodologies within the team.

- Construct/Adapt and deploy tools that enable engineering teams to autonomously manage the infrastructure and services under their ownership.

- Identify, articulate, and lead various enduring technological aspirations, strategies, cross-functional endeavors, and architecture revamps.

- Devise systems and render decisions that align with the rapid expansion of the organization.

- Document your endeavors and decision-making processes comprehensively, and lead presentations and discussions in a manner that facilitates easy comprehension by others.

- Devise optimal methodologies to assist the team in accomplishing their technical objectives and continually enhance the team's technological prowess.

- Assume a hands-on engineering role when necessary and ensure that the frameworks/infrastructure constructed are meticulously designed, scalable, and of superior quality.

- Develop and/or manage platforms that boast high availability, elasticity, scalability, operability, and observability.

- Execute the long-term technological vision for the team

Requirements :

- Azure Certified Solutions Architect

- 10-12+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure management, and software development. (5+ Experience in leading team)

- Bachelors Engineering Qualification

- Proven experience working on large-scale ecommerce projects.

- Hands-on expertise in technologies such as Kafka, in-memory databases, Aerospike, MongoDB Atlas, Kubernetes (K8s), and Akamai.

- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices in cloud environments.

- Ability to provide support during nights or weekends for critical issues (P0).

- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a larger team.

- Experience driving governance initiatives and ensuring compliance with standards.

- Proficiency in release management processes, including CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

- Experience in implementing DR

- Experience in Linux and Python

- Experience leading agile/scrum ceremonies and driving agile adoption within teams.

- Infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.

- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
