About Position: RPG Lead with experience in Design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform using RPG IV/ILE and CL Role: RPG Lead & Architect Location: Chennai Experience: 9 to 14 Years Job Type: Full Time Employment What You'll Do: Lead and manage a team of RPG developers to deliver high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements. Design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform using RPG IV/ILE and CL. Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and project timelines. Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in existing applications. Participate in system architecture planning and performance tuning. Coordinate with cross-functional teams for integration and deployment activities. Prepare technical documentation and user manuals. Mentor junior developers and support their technical growth. Expertise You'll Bring: 9 to14 years of hands-on experience in RPG development on IBM I (AS/400) systems. Proven experience in leading development teams and managing project deliverables. Strong background in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Experience in working with global teams and managing offshore/onsite coordination. Exposure to modernization projects and integration with web services or APIs is a plus.
