Job Title: Operations Manager – Portfolio Management Services (PMS)Location: MumbaiDepartment: OperationsExperience: 5–10 years (in PMS Operations) Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our Portfolio Management Services (PMS) team in Mumbai. The incumbent will play a critical role in overseeing and executing end-to-end operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, timely client servicing, and seamless coordination with custodians, brokers, and fund accountants. This role is integral to ensuring the back- and mid-office operations run smoothly and align with our fiduciary standards and business objectives. Key Responsibilities:1. Client Onboarding & KYC:● Monitor and ensure timely client onboarding (liaisoning with custody, demat, fund accounting teams/vendors) and KYC/AML compliance.● Maintain and update client master data and ensure data integrity in systems.2. Custody & Fund Accounting Operations:● Liaise with custodians for trade affirmation, settlement, corporate actions, and cash flow instructions.● Monitor NAV computation and validate daily fund accounting reports from the fund accountant.● Ensure corporate actions are correctly recorded and accounted.● Oversee reporting and audit trails related to valuation and reconciliation.● Handle queries and escalations related to custody and accounting processes.3. Trade Execution & Order Management:● Track order lifecycle: pre-trade, order routing, confirmation, and exception handling.4. Trade Settlement & Reconciliation:● Ensure timely settlement of trades across multiple brokers and custodian.● Perform daily reconciliations of trades, holdings, cash, NAVs, and client portfolios.● Identify and resolve breaks in reconciliation in a timely manner.5. Broker Management:● Coordinate with empaneled brokers for trade confirmations, exposure limits, commission disclosures, and settlement.● Monitor execution efficiency of multiple brokers.● Manage periodic brokerage reviews, fee negotiations, and performance benchmarking.6. Client Reporting & Regulatory Compliance:● Generate and dispatch monthly, quarterly, and annual client portfolio reports with performance, fees, and benchmark comparisons.● Aid compliance function in generating and filing regulatory and audit reports (e.g., SEBI reporting, PMS disclosures, audit schedules).● Ensure accurate fee computation, billing, and invoicing as per agreed client mandates.● Manage ad hoc client queries and ensure high-quality investor servicing. Skills & Qualifications:● Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, or related discipline; CA/MBA/CFA (preferred).● 5–10 years of relevant experience in PMS operations.● Strong knowledge of SEBI PMS regulations, custody, fund accounting norms, and capital market settlement systems.● Experience with PMS/OMS platforms (e.g., WealthSpectrum, Miles).● Proficient in MS Excel.● Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.● Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a high-growth environment.
