About the job :

Job Summary :

The Head of IT Infrastructure will oversee the design, implementation, and management of the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud services, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of all systems.

The role involves leading IT infrastructure, managing vendor relationships, developing long-term infrastructure strategies, and ensuring compliance with security regulations.

The candidate will also lead a team of IT professionals and work closely with senior management to align IT goals with the company's objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

Infrastructure Management :

- Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud services.

- Ensure the high availability, reliability, and security of all systems.

- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements are met.

Cloud and Security Expertise :

- Leverage cloud technologies to optimize system performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

- Implement and manage security and compliance measures across IT systems and platforms.

Security Strategy Development :

- Design and implement a comprehensive security strategy that protects both physical and digital assets.

- Establish policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the safety of organizational assets, personnel, and data.

- Monitor emerging security threats and proactively adapt strategies to mitigate risks.

- Ensure the implementation and maintenance of SOC 2 controls to safeguard sensitive information and ensure system security, availability, and confidentiality.

Cybersecurity Management :

- Oversee cybersecurity initiatives to protect against data breaches, cyberattacks, and other vulnerabilities.

- Implement and maintain security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and endpoint protection.

- Ensure secure systems architecture and compliance with industry standards (ISO, NIST, GDPR, etc.

Strategy & Planning :

- Develop and implement long-term IT infrastructure strategies aligned with business goals.

- Collaborate with senior management to align IT objectives with the organization's overall strategy.

Budget Management :

- Collaborate with senior IT leadership on budget planning and management for IT services and infrastructure.

- Conduct cost-benefit analyses between in-house and outsourcing IT services.

- Manage operational and capital budgets effectively.

Incident Management & Response :

- Act as the lead responder in security incidents, coordinating with internal teams and external agencies when necessary.

- Conduct post-incident reviews to analyze and improve security measures and response protocols.

Qualifications & Experience :

- Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

- Proven track record of managing large-scale IT infrastructure projects.

- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), virtualization, and data center management.

- Strong knowledge of IT security, compliance, and risk management.

- Excellent project management skills and familiarity with methodologies like Agile or Waterfall.

- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to develop and mentor IT professionals.

- Experience in budgeting and financial management for IT services.

- Familiarity with disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and information security management.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
