SAP PaPM Consultant

Description :We are looking for an experienced SAP PaPM (Profitability and Performance Management) Consultant who can design, configure, and implement PaPM solutions that support complex profitability, cost allocation, and performance optimization scenarios. The consultant will work closely with finance, controlling, and business analytics teams to deliver high-performing, scalable models and business rules within PaPM.Key Responsibilities :- Responsible for designing, building, and optimizing SAP PaPM models that support profitability analysis, cost allocations, scenario modeling, and financial performance management.- Develops functions, rules, calculations, allocations, process templates, and modeling constructs within PaPM to meet business requirements.- Works with business stakeholders to gather functional requirements, conduct workshops, analyze financial processes, and translate needs into PaPM configuration.- Integrates PaPM with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, and other data sources, ensuring accurate data flows and high performance.- Performs end-to-end implementation activities including design, configuration, testing, UAT support, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.- Conducts performance tuning, validation, reconciliation, and ensures accuracy of profitability and costing results.- Prepares documentation including functional specs, technical specs, process flows, test scripts, and operating procedures.- Trains business users on PaPM models, simulations, reporting, and operational usage.- Works closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Controlling, IT, and Data teams.- Adheres to best practices, governance standards, and change management processes throughout project execution.Required Skills & Qualifications :- 5 - 10 years of overall experience in SAP / Finance / Analytics, with strong hands-on expertise in SAP PaPM.- Deep understanding of profitability analysis, cost allocations, performance management, and financial modeling.- Experience working with PaPM modeling, functions, drivers, allocation rules, and simulation frameworks.- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA FI/CO, cost centers, profit centers, cost drivers, and financial data structures.- Hands-on experience integrating PaPM with SAP HANA, BW/4HANA, SAC, or external systems.- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and financial process understanding.- Experience working in Agile or structured project environments.Preferred Skills :- SAP PaPM certification or training.- Experience in SAC Planning, SAP BPC, or Group Reporting.- Exposure to profitability modeling in banking, insurance, manufacturing, utilities, or retail industries.- Strong SQL or HANA modeling experience.
