Staff Product Designer

Position Summary:The Staff Designer role at Chargebee is a pivotal opportunity for someone with 10+ years of experience who’s truly passionate about solving meaningful problems. We're looking for a designer who’s not just skilled, but also deeply curious and is excited to ask the right questions, explore the edges of possibility, and bring thoughtful solutions to life.At this level, you’ll be leading key design initiatives and navigating complex, cross-functional challenges. Your ability to think end-to-end and shape seamless customer experiences will be critical. We’re seeking someone who can balance product thinking with craft, while also proactively contributing to how we work, collaborate, and evolve as a team.You’ll have space to mentor others and influence product direction. If you’re driven by impact, thrive in ambiguity, and believe in the power of good design to unlock value, we’d love to meet you.Key Responsibilities:- Build a strong point of view grounded in deep research, data, and user insights, and use it to shape design explorations. - Embrace AI as a supportive tool in the design process, exploring new avenues for innovation. - Mentor and support the growth of junior design team members, sharing knowledge and expertise. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design aligns with business goals and user needs. - Conduct and apply research to inform and validate design decisions, championing user-centered design practices. - Encourage and practice the challenging of the status quo, promoting a strong team spirit.- Demonstrate a good understanding of product management principles and terminology, enhancing team collaboration. - Show familiarity with front-end technologies, ensuring design feasibility and technical alignment.Qualifications:- 10+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your expertise. - Professional level proficiency in design tools and a thorough understanding of design systems. - Proven experience leading key design initiatives and mentoring designers. - Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex design challenges. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams. - Proactive in challenging conventional approaches and keen on fostering teamwork. - Skilled at simplifying complex problems and proficient in leveraging AI to enhance the design process. - Well-versed in product management concepts and front-end technology basics.What makes us who we are:- We are Globally Local: With a diverse team across four continents, and customers in over 60 countries, you get to work closely with a global perspective right from your own neighborhood. - We value Curiosity: We believe the next great idea might just be around the corner.
