EUC EngineerLocation: Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad Job Type: Full-timeRole Overview:Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and skilled End User Computing (EUC) Engineer to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, management, and optimization of our end-user computing environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring our employees have the tools and support they need to work efficiently, securely, and productively.Experience Level: 8-10 Years- Modern Workplace & Device Management: - Design, implement, and manage endpoint management solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), Workspace ONE) for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android). - Automate device provisioning and deployment processes (e.g., Windows Autopilot, Apple Business Manager). - Develop and manage operating system deployment (OSD) strategies and image creation. - Configure and optimize device compliance policies, security baselines, and Group Policies (GPOs). - Implement and manage patch management strategies to ensure all endpoints are up-to-date and secure. - End-User Support & Optimization: - Provide expert-level (2nd and 3rd line) technical support to end-users for complex hardware, software, and connectivity issues related to the EUC environment. - Diagnose and resolve performance issues related to desktops, applications, and network connectivity. - Develop and maintain self-service IT solutions and knowledge base articles to empower end-users. - Proactively identify and address potential EUC issues before they impact users. - Application Delivery & Management: - Administer and manage core business applications, including Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive). - Implement and manage application deployment, patching, and lifecycle management. - Explore and implement virtualization solutions for application delivery (e.g., Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, VMware Horizon) if applicable. - Security & Compliance: - Implement and enforce endpoint security best practices, including anti-malware, device encryption (e.g., BitLocker), and vulnerability management. - Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry regulations. - Manage user access and permissions for EUC-related systems and applications. - Automation & Process Improvement: - Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to automate routine tasks, improve efficiency, and enhance the EUC environment. - Contribute to the design and implementation of new EUC technologies and solutions. - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. - Stay current with emerging EUC technologies and trends, recommending new solutions that align with business needs.Required Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Proven experience (typically 3-5+ years) as an EUC Engineer, Desktop Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role. - Strong hands-on experience with at least one major endpoint management solution (e.g., Microsoft Intune, MECM/SCCM, Workspace ONE). - Expertise in managing and troubleshooting Windows client operating systems (Windows 10/11). - Solid understanding and experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive). - Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management. - Experience with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail. - Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, ITIL Foundation). - Experience with macOS and mobile device management. - Familiarity with cloud-based desktop solutions (Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365). - Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management). - Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). - Experience with virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) technologies.
