We now need ahands-on technical leadto transform mock-ups into a secure, scalable, AI-powered MERN platform—and seed an engineering culture from Day 0. You’ll own architecture, DevOps, and team growth while delivering the features that move the needle for our early customers.What You’ll Do1. Design & Build the Core ArchitectureCraft a multi-tenant back end usingNode.js + Express . ModelMongoDB schemasfor design assets, RFQs, POs, and workflow events. Deliver clean, versionedREST / GraphQL APIsfor the React front end and third-party integrations.2. Embed Intelligent, AI-Driven FeaturesIntegrateLLM servicesfor auto-generated tech packs, smart RFQ comparisons, and conversational vendor chat. Evaluate tools such asOpenAI, LangChain, Pinecone , or fine-tuned in-house models.3. Lead DevOps & Cloud DeploymentSelect and configure the cloud stack ( AWS / GCP / Azure ). Set upIaC, CI/CD pipelines , staging, and blue-green deployments. Source and manage DevOps contractors as load scales.4. Set Engineering Standards & StrategyEstablishcode-quality, observability, security , anddata-privacy baselines(SOC 2 journey). Maintain living architecture documentation and run design reviews.5. Recruit, Mentor & Scale the TeamPartner with founders on hiring plans. Conduct technical interviews, onboard early engineers, and foster ahigh-ownership culture .Must-Have Skills & ExperienceMERN expertise:5+ years building production-gradeNode/Express APIsandMongoDB models ; comfortable contributing to React when needed. AI/LLM integration experience:(OpenAI, embeddings, vector DBs, etc.) Cloud & DevOps fluency:Docker, Terraform/Pulumi, GitHub Actions (or equivalent). Security mindset:OAuth2/OIDC, RBAC, rate-limiting, and secure SDLC familiarity. Startup DNA:Shipped 0→1 products, thrives in ambiguity, and communicates crisply with non-technical stakeholders.Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience insupply-chain, PLM, or fashion-tech . Familiarity withevent-driven or microservices architecture(Kafka, NATS, etc.). Infra-cost optimizationandperformance tuningskills.
