Android Audio/Video/Graphics Developer

Description :We are seeking a highly skilled Android Audio/Video/Graphics Developer with extensive experience in the Automotive domain. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of the Android multimedia stack, including the HAL, audio routing (ALSA, I2S), video frameworks (OpenMax, Codec2), and graphics components. The role involves optimizing performance, ensuring CTS compliance, and working with C++ in an embedded environment, with exposure to advanced technologies like TensorFlow for camera/vision processing being a plus.Key Responsibilities and Multimedia Development Deliverables :- Android Framework & HAL Development : Design, implement, and optimize the Android Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) components related to Audio, Video, Camera, and Graphics for automotive platforms.- Audio Pipeline Mastery : Develop and troubleshoot audio sub-systems, including integrating with ALSA (Advanced Linux Sound Architecture) and low-level interfaces like I2S, ensuring low latency and high-quality audio routing specific to automotive use cases.- Video and Codec Integration : Work extensively with Android's media frameworks, including OpenMax and the newer Codec2 (C2) interfaces, to integrate and optimize hardware codecs for video encoding and decoding performance.- Graphics and Display : Optimize graphics rendering performance, working with display pipelines, and integrating graphics components to ensure smooth and fast user interface (UI) responsiveness in the IVI system.- Camera System Development : Implement and validate Camera HAL components and frameworks, focusing on performance, image quality, and integration with the Android Camera API.- Compliance and Validation : Ensure strict adherence to Android compatibility requirements by actively working on and debugging CTS (Compatibility Test Suite) failures related to the multimedia stack.- Performance Optimization : Perform low-level performance tuning and optimization using strong C++ programming skills across the embedded Linux/Android kernel space and user space.- Advanced AI Integration (Preferred) : Explore and integrate machine learning models, specifically those developed using TensorFlow, for automotive vision or camera-related Skills & Qualifications :- Experience : 4- 10 years of experience in software development within the Embedded domain.- Core Languages : Expert proficiency in C++ programming.- Android Expertise : Deep understanding of the Android Framework architecture and extensive experience developing/customizing the Android HAL layer.- Audio Stack : Hands-on experience with Audio development, including ALSA and hardware interfaces like I2S.- Video/Codec : Working knowledge of Android video processing and media codecs, specifically OpenMax and/or Codec2.- Graphics/Display : Experience with Graphics pipeline development and optimization.- System Validation : Experience with debugging and resolving CTS issues.Preferred Skills :- Automotive Domain : Prior experience working on In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems or other automotive electronics.- Camera Systems : Experience with the Android Camera sub-system and Camera HAL development.- AI/ML Integration : Exposure to integrating or utilizing machine learning models, particularly TensorFlow, within embedded systems.- Experience with debugging tools specific to embedded multimedia systems.
