Your Role as an Industrial Designer

As an Industrial Designer at Solinas, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of water and sanitation technologies by combining functionality with aesthetic design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mechanical and electronics engineers to execute end-to-end product design and visual design.
  • Develop wireframes, sketches, prototypes, and 3D models to effectively communicate design ideas.
  • Create user-centric designs that integrate ergonomic principles and intuitive interfaces.
  • Solve complex UX challenges, such as usability and accessibility, by finding innovative solutions.
  • Experiment with materials, finishes, and painting styles to align product aesthetics with functionality.


Who You Are

We’re looking for a designer who embodies creativity, holistic thinking, and a passion for innovation.

Must-Have Skills and Attributes:

  • Deep interest in aesthetics, user interface, and ergonomic design.
  • Strong sensibility for visual design and current design trends.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Rhino, Alias). Knowledge of class-A surfacing and B-surface engineering is a plus.
  • Expertise in surface modeling tools (Alias, Rhino, or similar) and 2D design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Ability to integrate insights-driven, human-centered design approaches into workflows.
  • Familiarity with engineering materials and their properties.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience in developing physical prototypes or models.
  • A creative yet practical approach to solving product design challenges.
  • A solid understanding of industrial design best practices and sustainability principles.
