Role and Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for Embedded software development in resource constraint microcontroller based enviornment
  • Strong in Embedded C/C++ programming skill, RTOS system programming and architecture skills
  • Be responsible for providing technical leadership and defining, developing and delivering the software package to the customer
  • Provide guidance to developers with planning, design, execution and debug on a day-to-day basis
  • Work with senior architects / principle engineers to translate the requirements into design and help drive the implementation within the team
  • Estimate, plan, triage and manage execution of multiple concurrent activities and contribute to project planning and tracking
  • Ensure assigned activities are completed within the committed timeline and acceptable quality standards
  • Be the customer interface for project updates and proactively highlight risks and mitigation plan for the overall project activities
  • Responsible for coordinating with cross-functional teams (Hardware, Silicon) to ensure all inter-dependencies are resolved for the smooth execution of software activities
  • Responsible for staffing and resourcing of the team and part of the technical interview panel for evaluating and selecting the candidates


Experience and Skills


  • Should have prior experience in leading a team for Embedded software / firmware development based on ARM Cortex- M or similar Microcontroller architecture or embedded board for Industrial, Consumer, Automotive or Avionics domains
  • Expert in design and architecture in RTOS and system software. Expert in understanding Cortex-M based SoC architectures or similar MCU architecure with a proven experience in bootloader, Microkernel, control software and device drivers development and integration
  • Should have proven experience in technically leading mid-size team of 10-15 members
  • Should have experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams working on bootloaders, kernel development, device drivers integration, validation and verification and OS bring-up
  • Familiarity with GIT version control tool for software versioning and release packaging is required
