The role involves close collaboration with game designers, developers, and cross-functional teams to define artistic requirements and deliver high-quality game assets aligned with user experience and business objectives. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing creatively and technically across projects.Key Responsibilities- Create sketches, digital artwork, matte paintings, and concept art based on game design and application requirements. - Interpret and execute art requirements in alignment with established development processes. - Participate in design handoffs, developer transitions, and quality assurance reviews. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical specifications and deliver solutions aligned with project goals. - Identify quality issues and contribute to improving systems, workflows, and standard operating procedures. - Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency. - Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and training to junior game artists. - Guide, coach, and allocate tasks to junior team members. - Continuously build product and domain knowledge and act as a subject matter expert (SME) within the art function. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide project updates, gather requirements, and present creative solutions.Soft Skills- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. - Ability to visualize and communicate gameplay mechanics through storyboarding.Technical Skills- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop. - Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator. - Strong digital drawing and illustration skills. - Solid understanding of color theory, lighting, and visual composition. - Storyboarding and live sketching capabilities. - Knowledge of Adobe After Effects is an added advantage.Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or equivalent relevant qualification. - 8–12 years of experience in a game art, digital art, or related role.Additional Requirement- Submission of a recent demo reel or portfolio is mandatory.
