About the Role :
We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer with 4 - 6 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications. You will be working closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and other developers to deliver robust and high-quality software solutions.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about backend technologies, thrives in a fast-paced remote environment, and enjoys solving complex problems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, test, and maintain dynamic, secure, and high-performance web applications using PHP and modern frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter).
- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Design and optimize relational database schemas (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Integrate APIs and third-party services (REST, GraphQL, payment gateways, etc.).
- Collaborate with front-end developers to implement and maintain cohesive user interfaces.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and debugging for improved quality and performance.
- Optimize applications for scalability, speed, and performance.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum processes including sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and suggest improvements as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4 - 6 years of professional experience in PHP development.
- Proficiency with at least one major PHP framework (Laravel preferred).
- Strong understanding of OOP, MVC architecture, and software design patterns.
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other RDBMS.
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end integration.
- Experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred (Nice to Have) :
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Exposure to testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Codeception).
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
