About the RoleWe are looking for a skilledBackend Engineerwith strong expertise inLaravel/PHPwho can manage, maintain, and migrate our existing PHP/Laravel applications into aReact Native environment . The ideal candidate will have a solid background in backend development, database management, and API design, with hands-on experience enabling smooth integration with modern front-end frameworks. You will play a key role in optimizing performance, ensuring scalability, and supporting our transition from legacy systems to modern, mobile-first applications.ResponsibilitiesMaintain, optimize, and extend existingPHP/Laravel backend applications . Design and implementRESTful APIsto support React Native applications. Migrate legacy PHP/Laravel code into modular, scalable structures suitable for cross-platform integration. Collaborate with front-end and mobile developers to ensure seamless integration and performance. Work with MySQL/PostgreSQL databases, ensuring security, efficiency, and scalability. Implement best practices forauthentication, authorization, caching, and API performance optimization . Debug and resolve backend issues, ensuring application stability and smooth deployments. Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code while following industry standards.Qualifications3+ years of professional experiencein backend development withPHP & Laravel . Strong knowledge ofobject-oriented PHP, MVC architecture, and Laravel ecosystem(Eloquent ORM, Blade, Queues, etc.). Hands-on experience building and consumingREST APIs . Familiarity withReact Native (or React.js)and ability to support integration/migration projects. Solid understanding ofdatabases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) , query optimization, and schema design. Experience withGit, CI/CD, Docker, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar) . Excellent verbal and writtenEnglish communication skills(must be able to work with international clients). Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and Collaborate with remote teams. Must be Organized and work in a structured method. Nice to HaveExperience withmigration from monolithic to microservices architecture . Exposure toNode.jsor other modern backend frameworks.
