Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Staff Data Scientist with 7-12 years of practical experience in the fields of data science, generative AI, machine learning, and analytics. The ideal candidate will have a deep, hands-on background in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Generative AI, along with a proven track record of leading projects and teams. You will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced AI and machine learning solutions that directly impact our strategic business goals. This role requires not only a strong technical foundation but also excellent business acumen and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities :

AI/ML Solution Development :

- Design, build, and deploy end-to-end data science and generative AI solutions, leveraging expertise in LLMs (e.g., GPT, LLaMA, Falcon, Mistral) and frameworks such as LangChain and Hugging Face.

- Implement and optimize techniques like RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and fine-tuning with methods like LoRA to enhance model performance.

- Apply advanced machine learning, deep learning, and NLP models to solve complex business problems.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship :

- Lead data science projects from conception to production, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery.

- Mentor junior data scientists and engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to translate business requirements into actionable data science projects.

Data Engineering & MLOps :

- Utilize strong data engineering skills to build robust ETL pipelines for large-scale datasets, ensuring data quality and accessibility.

- Implement and manage MLOps frameworks (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Vertex AI, SageMaker) to streamline the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle.

Statistical Analysis & Business Impact :

- Apply rigorous statistical methodologies, including hypothesis testing, regression, time-series analysis, and causal inference to measure the business impact of solutions.

- Use strong business acumen to map AI/ML solutions to strategic organizational goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Experience :

- 8-12 years of practical experience in data science, generative AI, machine learning, and analytics.

- 3-4 years of deep, hands-on expertise in NLP, LLMs, and Generative AI.

- 2+ years of demonstrated experience in leading projects and teams.

Mandatory Technical Skills :

- Advanced proficiency in Python for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning model development.

- Strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and NLP.

- Hands-on experience with LLMs, GenAI frameworks, RAG, and fine-tuning techniques.

- Proficiency in PyTorch/TensorFlow, SQL, and cloud platforms Attributes :

- Strong business acumen and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Proven track record of mentoring teams and managing stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in relevant domains such as e-commerce, advertising, or retail.

- Expertise in MLOps frameworks such as MLflow, Kubeflow, Vertex AI, or SageMaker.

- Experience with causal inference techniques like propensity scores, DiD, or RDD.
