Key Responsibilities


  • New Products Commercialization (interface with R&D, Design and Project/Operation): End-to-end responsibility of processes and plant design and selection of right equipment leading to successful commercialization of new products at the right capacity and costs.


  • Innovation and Research (interface with R&D/Technology transfer, Innovation/Kilo Lab): Drive innovation by identifying emerging technologies, market trends, and research opportunities relevant to the industry. Evaluate and ensure implementation of innovative solutions, troubleshoot technology transfer and operational issues to enable faster product development and commercialization


  • Product Development (interface with R&D, Innovation Lab): Oversee the innovation lab, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop new products and technologies. Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.


  • Capital Projects (interface with Projects, Process Engineering): Serve as an overall expert for overseeing the entire lifecycle of capital projects, encompassing both Greenfield projects (from conception to commissioning) and brownfield projects (expanding capacity). Provide direct supervision of optimal plant design, detailed engineering, budgeting, and resource allocation, while maintaining overall coordination with the project head to ensure timely execution within budgetary limits


  • Digital Transformation (interface with Process Engineering, Operations): Lead the digital transformation efforts within the organization, leveraging technology to optimize the manufacturing process, achieve industry-leading operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and enable data-driven decision-making.


  • Technology Partnerships: Establish and maintain strategic partnerships and collaborations with technology vendors, research institutions, and start-ups to leverage external expertise, access cutting-edge technologies, and drive innovation.


  • Cost improvements and Trouble Shooting (Interface with R&D and Operations team): Work along with R&D and Process engineering/Operations Team on various Operations Excellence Initiatives


  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and data privacy regulations throughout the technology landscape. Stay up to date with changing regulations and provide guidance to ensure adherence and minimize risk



  • Qualifications & Experience


  • BE / B. Tech in Chemical Engineering. 25 + years of experience in Technology Transformation / Process engineering in Chemical Industries
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills along with leadership qualities.
  • Experience Technology Transformation/Process engineering in Chemical Industries
