About the role: Junior Global Lease Accounting Specialist (GLA Specialist) will be responsible for the coordination of the Month End Closing process with the emphasis on the IFRS16 contracts around the group. Together with the local and regional finance teams, the GLA Specialist will make sure that all 600+ companies in the Avolta Group are reported in a timely and correct manner (in line with IFRS16) in preparation of the Group Consolidation (done by Group Reporting). The GLA Specialist will make sure that new (lease) contracts are recorded correctly and properly in the Lease Accounting tool. In addition the GLA Specialist will make sure that lease amendments and/or early terminations are recorded as well. Through P&L analyses of the individual local entities confirm that all relevant contracts are recorded and that all financial transactions following the lease contracts are duly, timely and correctly recorded in the financial ledgers. The GLA Specialist will be the go-to person for IFRS16 related (accounting/reporting) questions and instrumental in the implementation of the Global IFRS16 tool.

Structure · Reporting into the Global Lease Accounting Specialist (Joey Moison, Schiphol) and together with him forming the lease accounting specialist team. · The Global Lease Accounting Specialist is reporting into the Group Accounting Head. · Global Accounting team is part of the Global Finance Team, consisting of: Group Reporting, Group Accounting, Global SSC, Global Digital Finance, Global Internal Control and Global Taxes. Global Finance team is headed by the Executive Director Global Finance (David Haldimann, Basel)

Priorities for next two years (main challenges) · Harmonize the accounting and reporting of the different lease contracts around the organization globally. · Setup Global database of lease contracts in the new to be implemented leasetool · Instruct/train financial accountants around the world on the correct application of IFRS16
The Group Accounting team is responsible for the coordination of the Month End Closing and preparing the financial (accounting) data for consolidation and internal and external reporting. The scope is truly global and covering all 600+ legal entities within the group. The Global Lease Accounting team is specifically responsible for the correct accounting of the lease entries.
Qualifications · 5 - 8 years of experience in corporate accounting; ·
Understanding of IFRS16;
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, any other certification is a plus;
· Fluent in (business) English;
· Working experience with SAP applications;
· Advanced Excel Skills;
· Analytical, problem solving, able to prioritize and able to take a practical approach when needed.
