Your designs will form the base of HAY’skurta and dress collections , blending timeless Indian elements with contemporary style.Key Responsibilities:Conceptualize and createoriginal print artworksandsurface designsfor women’s kurtas and dresses Developmood boards, color palettes, and design storiesbased on brand direction and seasonal trends Work onProcreate (iPad)orAdobe Illustrator/Photoshopto design repeat and placement prints Suggestfabric–print combinationsideal for bulk production (screen, digital, rotary, or block printing) Coordinate with thedesign and sampling teamsfor scale, color accuracy, and fabric trials Revise and refine print layouts based on sampling and feedback Maintain organized digital folders, naming systems, and documentation for production and marketing teamsIdeal Candidate:4–5 years of experience intextile/print design , preferably inwomen’s ethnic or fusion wear Proficient inProcreate (iPad) ,Adobe Illustrator , andPhotoshop Strong understanding ofcolor theory, print placement, and Indian fabric techniques Knowledge ofprinting methodssuch as screen, rotary, and digital printing Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely with quick design iterations Passionate about creating prints that aretrendy yet timeless Bonus if you:Have designed forkurta/dress-based brands or D2C Indian wear labels Are aware ofregional motifs, handloom inspirations, and cultural aesthetics Canhand-sketch or develop motifsfrom scratch
