What you’ll do at Ather:

At Ather, we are in the constant pursuit of providing unique experiences to our customers through our products. In the Electric Vehicle (EV) space our products are engineered ground-up in India to provide best in class performance, comfort and connectivity to our customers.

Marketing and Services forms an integral part of our Customer Operations and brand building journey. The successful candidate would manage Ather’s procurement operations in Marketing and Business Services commodity categories. Some of the areas that you will get to work on are :

  • Design and execute Supplier Relationship Management initiative in line with the organization’s objectives and priorities.
  • Handle procurement commodities – Media buying -ATL services , Creative services, Events, MICE, PR services, Influencer services , brand measurement , media production services, OOH and BTL services.
  • Validate the campaign plan and negotiate the prices with the agency.
  • Stratify suppliers based on strategic importance; design customized supplier engagement programs.
  • Conduct negotiations with vendors and draft and negotiate the contracts with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) with suppliers and work with suppliers and internal teams to design plans for action from the review.
  • Closely work with Sales, PR and Marketing team Identify risks early and proactively mitigate them
  • Monitor performance of the suppliers and raise alerts on any technology, supply chain, quality gaps, and work with suppliers and Ather teams to design improvement plans
  • Work closely with the supply base and the internal cross-functional teams of Sourcing, Fulfilment, and Quality to successfully execute the supplier engagement plans
  • Communicate to suppliers on happenings and events at Ather


Here’s what we are looking for:

  • Good experience on understanding of supplier landscape, value chain mapping, TCO calculations.
  • Experience in drafting of contracts and negotiations of legal t&c’s is must.
  • Experienced in developing and executing strategies with suppliers.
  • Experience in managing the three pillars of program management - time, cost, quality
  • Ability to work on Spend analysis, negotiations, and good understanding of commercials terms.
  • Ability to work well within a team – enjoys collaborating, persuading, and influencing
  • Ability to thrive under pressure to manage challenging deadlines
  • Good collaboration skills, the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders
  • Strong planning, process management, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.


What you bring to Ather:


  • A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering (preferred) from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute. MBA would be desired.
  • 8-10 years of relevant functional experience in handling Marketing commodities procurement
  • Experience in industries such as , Media , FMCG, Pharma, Automotive , Electronics or other related industries would be a plus.
