Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Azure Cloud Backend Developer with strong expertise in modern backend development, cloud technologies, and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have 68 years of professional experience in backend development, deep knowledge of Azure Cloud services (particularly AKS), and hands-on experience with GraphQL and REST API design. Familiarity with UBS environments, DevOps practices, and frontend development (React) will be a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities :

Backend Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend systems using Java (latest version).


- Implement robust, reusable, and secure code following best practices.

Cloud Solutions :

- Deploy, configure, and manage applications in Azure Cloud, with a focus on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).


- Integrate Azure-native services into application architecture for scalability and reliability.

API Development :

- Design and implement GraphQL APIs (minimum 2 years of experience) and RESTful APIs for data access and integration.


- Work with GraphQL Federation to enable unified data access across multiple services.

DevOps & CI/CD :

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensure smooth deployments, and monitor application performance.


- Support deployment automation, infrastructure as code, and operational monitoring.

Frontend Collaboration :

- Work closely with frontend developers, with an added advantage if familiar with ReactJS for integrating backend services with UI components.

UBS Environment Knowledge :

- Understand UBS-specific tools, workflows, and compliance requirements for enterprise-grade solutions.

Testing & Quality :

- Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and ensure code quality with automated testing tools.


- Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance.

Collaboration & Documentation :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams (architects, designers, product managers) to deliver high-quality solutions.


- Maintain clear documentation for designs, processes, and APIs.

Must-Have Skills :

Core Expertise :

- Java (latest versions) Advanced backend development experience.


- Azure Cloud Deployment, management, and integration of services.


- Azure Kubernetes Service (Shared AKS) Deployment and scaling of containerized applications.


- GraphQL (minimum 2 years) API design and implementation.


- Microservices & REST API Design, integration, and optimization.

Additional Advantage Skills :

- GraphQL Federation.


- ReactJS Basic to intermediate level.


- UBS environment experience.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.


- 68 years of professional experience in backend development.


- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.


- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
