Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a SAP Sales Distribution Materials Management Consultant located in Greater Kolkata Area. The consultant will be responsible for materials management, procurement, inventory management, and business process consulting. The role will involve day-to-day tasks such as analyzing business requirements, designing and implementing solutions, conducting system testing, and providing end-user support.


  • Lead SAP implementation projects, including gathering business requirements, designing solutions, configuring SAP modules, and managing project timelines.
  • Provide guidance and support to the SAP team, including functional consultants, developers, and analysts, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct system configurations and customizations to meet business process requirements in MM, SD, modules.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into SAP system enhancements and improvements.
  • Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution to ensure the integrity and reliability of SAP applications.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including functional specifications, technical designs, and user manuals.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to end-users and support teams on SAP functionalities and best practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest SAP technologies and trends, and provide recommendations for system enhancements and optimizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, procurement, and sales, to streamline business processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP implementation and support, with expertise in MM, SD,
  • Proven track record of leading SAP projects from conception to completion, including requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP configuration, customization, and integration with other systems.
  • Excellent understanding of business processes in procurement, sales, finance, and master data management.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA or ECC 6.0, including new implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Experience in SAP ABAP development, debugging, and performance tuning is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • SAP certification in MM, SD is preferred.
