With a presence in 25 countries across 42 industry sectors, RX hosts approximately 350 events annually.About the RolePortfolio Director who will be responsible for RX India’s Travel portfolio (World Travel Market India) event and lead the identification of new event opportunities and subsequently be responsible for the deployment and delivery of these events, manage overall P&L encompassing strategy, financials, sales, marketing, operations and people management functions.Responsibilities- Strategic Oversight: You’ll be responsible for the entire lifecycle of events in your portfolio, from strategic development and financial performance of the brand and event , planning and budgeting to execution and post-event analysis. - Market Intelligence: Leveraging research and industry relationships is crucial for identifying growth opportunities and ensuring the sustainability of each show. - Customer Value Development: Using customer insights to develop new service/product solutions or brand extensions based on customer needs. - Business Management: Effective resource allocation, financial oversight, and performance monitoring are key to meeting business objectives. - Networking & Account Management: Building and maintaining strong industry, government connections and managing key accounts help drive event success and brand relevance. - Brand Strategy: Developing strategies that resonate with both visitors and exhibitors ensures the continued relevance and growth of your events. - Innovation: Proactively seeking and launching new event opportunities keeps the portfolio dynamic and competitive. - Budget Management: Aligning financial planning with strategic goals ensures the portfolio’s long-term success.Requirements- Extensive Experience: - Over 15 years in Event Management & Strategy, with proven P&L responsibility and strong budget management skills. Preferably from Travel Exhibition Industry - B2B Exhibitions Expertise: - Demonstrated success in executing B2B exhibitions and events within the Indian exhibitions industry. This ensures familiarity with local market dynamics and operational challenges. - Industry Knowledge: - Experience or knowledge of the Travel/ Hospitality industries is desirable, though not mandatory. This adds value by bringing sector-specific insights to event strategy and execution. - People Leadership: - Fostering collaboration and high performance. Leadership is crucial for managing cross-functional teams and ensuring optimal event delivery. - Matrix Organization Experience: - Experience working within a matrix organizational structure or familiarity with matrix management principles.
