Description : SAP PI/PO CPI Consultant (Event Mesh Focus)Role OverviewThe SAP PI/PO CPI Consultant is a highly specialized technical role requiring 5 7 years of relevant experience, focused on modernizing and optimizing integration landscapes using SAP Advanced Event Mesh (AEM) within the SAP S/4HANA RISE environment.This is an On-site from Day 1 position based at an IBM Office, demanding deep expertise in both traditional SAP middleware (PI/PO and CPI) and the cutting-edge implementation of event-driven architectures (EDA).The incumbent will be responsible for designing and securing event flows, managing event brokers, and customizing S/4HANA events to enrich data payloads for enterprise consumption.Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced SAP Integration Consultant (PI/POCPI) with strong expertise in event-driven architecture and SAP Advanced Event Mesh (AEM) to design, implement, and optimize integration solutions within SAP S/4HANA RISE environments. This role requires technical mastery in setting up secure, scalable event publishing and consumption mechanisms, ensuring reliable, real-time data flow across the enterprise landscape.Key Responsibilities and Integration Deliverables- Event Architecture Design : Design, implement, and optimize event-driven architectures utilizing SAP Advanced Event Mesh (AEM) as the central nervous system for real-time data communication.- S/4HANA Integration : Establish and configure resilient connections between SAP S/4HANA RISE and AEM. This includes technical setup for publishing and consuming events to and from the ERP core.- Topic Management : Set up outbound and inbound topics in SAP S/4HANA for efficient event publishing and consumption. Create and manage event brokers, queues, and topic assignments within the AEM environment.- Event Customization and Enrichment : Customize standard events in SAP S/4HANA using AIF (Application Interface Framework) or RAP (Restful ABAP Programming) methodologies to enrich event payloads with necessary API/OData structures for subscriber systems.- Routing and Filtering Logic : Implement advanced topic filtering mechanisms to route events precisely based on defined business logic and specific subscriber needs, ensuring efficient data delivery.- Security and Access Control : Configure and manage access controls within AEM to ensure secure, role-based, and strictly segregated data access for all consuming applications and subscribers.- Monitoring and Management : Monitor event flows, manage event replay, and perform necessary re-triggering of events as needed to recover from failures or synchronize data.- Troubleshooting : Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to event publishing and consumption, including latency, payload errors, and connectivity failures between S/4HANA, AEM, and consuming systems.Mandatory Skills & Qualifications- Total Experience : 5 7 Years of overall experience in SAP Integration.- Relevant Experience : 5 7 Years of relevant experience focused on SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, or advanced integration concepts.- Integration Middleware : Strong hands-on experience with SAP Process Integration (PI), Process Orchestration (PO), and/or SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).- Event-Driven Architecture : Mandatory expertise in event-driven architecture (EDA) concepts and design principles.- SAP Advanced Event Mesh (AEM) : Direct, hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions using SAP Advanced Event Mesh (AEM), including broker and topic management.- SAP S/4HANA : Experience integrating with SAP S/4HANA RISE environments.- Customization/Development : Practical knowledge of AIF (Application Interface Framework) or RAP (Restful ABAP Programming) for event customization and payload enrichment.- Protocols : Solid understanding of common integration protocols (REST, SOAP, OData, AMQP).Preferred Skills- Certification in SAP Integration Technology (e.g., SAP Certified Development Associate CPI).- Experience with CI/CD practices for integration content deployment.- Exposure to cloud-native development within the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
