About the Role :We are seeking a Senior Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Administrator to join our technology team and take full ownership of our Oracle Cloud Tenancy. This position is for a seasoned cloud professional who has deep experience managing OCI resources, security, networking, and cost optimization.You will be responsible for the daily operations, governance, and strategic expansion of our OCI environment, ensuring it runs securely, efficiently, and in alignment with best practices.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-responsibility environments and enjoys working across multiple teams, including IT, Security, and DevOps.Key Responsibilities :OCI Tenancy Management :- Administer and manage the organizations Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Tenancy.- Create, configure, and manage compartments, policies, IAM roles/groups, and tagging strategies.- Monitor tenancy health, usage, and resource limits, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements.Security & Governance :- Implement and enforce security best practices within OCI including network security rules, access controls, and auditing.- Manage and maintain Identity and Access Management (IAM) configurations, MFA, and federated identity integrations (e.g., with AD/Okta).- Ensure compliance with internal and external governance and data protection policies.Operations & Automation :- Develop and maintain automated scripts (using Terraform, OCI CLI, or similar) for provisioning and maintaining OCI resources.- Manage backups, DR configurations, and high availability setup for critical infrastructure.- Perform troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis for cloud-related issues.Monitoring, Optimization & Reporting :- Monitor resource usage, performance, and health using OCI Monitoring and Logging tools.- Optimize cost and usage of compute, storage, and networking resources.- Generate periodic reports and insights on tenancy usage, security posture, and cost.Collaboration & Support :- Work closely with application teams, DBAs, and DevOps to support infrastructure needs.- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on Oracle Cloud for internal stakeholders.- Support migrations and onboarding of new applications or services to OCI.Required Skills & Qualifications :- 5+ years of experience managing cloud infrastructure, with at least 2- 3 years in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).- Deep knowledge of OCI core services : Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM, Monitoring, etc.- Strong experience with OCI Tenancy structure, compartments, policies, and access controls.- Hands-on with automation tools : Terraform, OCI CLI, Bash, or Python scripting.- Familiarity with cloud networking : VCNs, subnets, NSGs, routing, and VPNs.- Solid understanding of high availability, DR, and backup strategies within OCI.- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.Nice to Have :- OCI Certified Architect (Associate or Professional) or similar certifications.- Experience with Oracle Database services (ATP, ADW, or Exadata Cloud).- Exposure to hybrid cloud environments or integrations with on-premise systems.- Familiarity with other cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) for multi-cloud context.
