Job Description:

As a Backend Developer, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, contributing to the development and enhancement of our platform’s backend services. You will work with cutting-edge technologies to build scalable, robust, and efficient systems that support our mission of enhancing site reliability and incident management for our customers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance backend services using Django and FastAPI.
• Implement message-driven architectures: Utilize Kafka and RabbitMQ to build reliable and efficient event-driven architectures that support our platform’s alerting and notification systems.
• Integrate and manage databases: Design and optimize data storage solutions that ensure data integrity and high availability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to build seamless integrations and deliver high-quality products.
• Optimize performance: Continuously monitor and optimize backend services for performance, scalability, and security.
• Develop and maintain APIs: Design and implement RESTful APIs that are secure, efficient, and easy to maintain.
• Automate tasks and processes: Use Celery for task automation to improve system reliability and reduce manual intervention.
• Deploy and manage services on AWS: Leverage AWS cloud services to deploy, monitor, and maintain backend systems in a secure and scalable manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues: Identify and resolve backend issues to ensure smooth and reliable operation of our services.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Django and/or FastAPI.
• Skills:Proficiency in Python and experience with Django and FastAPI frameworks.
• Experience with message brokers like Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with task queue systems such as Celery.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud deployment.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Solid knowledge of databases and data modeling.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
