HICV is seeking to hire a skilled Data Warehouse Developer to help with developing robust Business Intelligence and data warehouse solutions. The job-holder will design, develop and maintain solutions within the data warehouse landscape, including extraction, transformation and loading of data; quality assurance, performance monitoring and report development.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS

  • Architect, design and develop data warehouse integrations using SSIS (Integration Services), Azure Data Factory (ADF), and other integration technologies. Create and maintain database objects in our data warehouse by developing well-documented stored procedures and processes that deliver high quality and high-performing data solutions. Follow established processes and procedures for EDW development defined by the enterprise data management team.
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand needs for enterprise reporting and analytics solutions. Document business requirements and convert into technical requirements for the development team. Partner with business stakeholders throughout the development and testing processes to ensure that the solutions meet their needs, code review all solutions before implementation.
  • Lead the monitoring and trouble-shooting of the ongoing data pipelines and data models used in the EDW ecosystem. Design processes and solutions that ensure minimal downtime and high performance of all solutions in the data warehouse platforms.
  • Conduct proofs of concepts, story spikes and other analysis designed to improve the overall health of the EDW and improve usability by our business partners. Evaluate alternate technologies that improve value of the reporting and analysis ecosystem


PROFESSIONAL SKILLSET QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related field required.
  • Experience with Microsoft data technologies: Azure Data Lake, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, SSIS
  • 5- 10 years' experience designing, building, and ingesting data into data warehouse systems
  • Advanced SQL skills which will be assessed as part of the candidate selection process.
  • Capacity to work with large amounts of data, extract relevant information and draw logical conclusions.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills to effectively share findings with stakeholders and IT associates.
  • Candidate must have an open mind when it comes to approaching and be able to assess each situation separately.
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks and expectations without direct instruction or oversight.
  • Candidate should have an analytical mindset with the ability to analyze problems from different perspectives and use creativity to solve problems and proactively recommend solutions.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail when working with data to make accurate conclusions and predications.
  • Fast, adaptable learner who can hit the ground running.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating strong professionalism.
  • Must be able to collaborate closely with a team at times, while also being capable of holding themselves accountable to meet individual deadlines with minimal supervision.
