Job Title : API Automation Engineer

Location : Pune (Hybrid/Onsite)

About the Role :

We are seeking passionate and skilled API Automation Engineers to join our expanding Quality Assurance (QA) team in Pune. If you have a strong enthusiasm for automation, API testing, and modern testing frameworks, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects and enhance the quality of our software products.

Experience Requirements :

Option 1 : Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in API automation testing with a total professional experience of 5+ years

Option 2 : Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in API automation testing with a total professional experience of 7+ years

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API testing using modern frameworks

- Perform thorough testing of REST and SOAP APIs to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and other QA members to deliver high-quality software

- Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing and deployment

- Participate actively in Agile workflows, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

- Identify, document, and track defects and work with the development team for timely resolution

- Continuously improve testing processes and automation frameworks to increase efficiency and coverage

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong hands-on experience in API automation testing

- Proficiency with the Karate testing framework and Java programming language (preferred)

- Solid understanding of REST and SOAP web services

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)

- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and core software testing concepts

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
