Position Summary

As a Lead Data Scientist, you will work with large, complex data sets and solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods as needed. You will also conduct an analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, ongoing deliverables, and presentations. apply statistical theory and methods to collect, interpret, and summarize data as well as make predictions and recommend actions based on data.


Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into technical requirements.

• Ask insightful questions to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the client’s challenges and objectives.

• Document requirements clearly using workflows, Entity-Relationship (ER) diagrams, and relational diagrams.

• Conducts statistical analyses to develop strategies.

• Builds predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.

• Identifies data patterns and trends.

• Proposes solutions and strategies to business challenges.

• Presents information using data visualization techniques.

• Documents all processes and research.

• Solve complex, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods as needed.

• Build and manage a high-performance, responsive team of data scientists and analysts that can keep up with and pioneer in this space.

• Develop comprehensive knowledge of data structures and metrics, advocating for changes where needed for product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, applied math or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.

• Extensive background in data mining and statistical analysis.

• At least two years’ experience with SQL and statistical software packages (Python, R, SAS) required

• Working with Jupyter Notebooks and understanding old experiments

• Experience with Azure ML Studio and REST API.

• Excellent understanding of database systems and ability to create workflows, ER diagrams, and relational diagrams.

• Experience using business intelligence tools and data frameworks.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
