Overview:

The Head of Security is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive security strategy of the organization. This role encompasses the protection of personnel, physical assets, and digital information. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in security management, with demonstrated expertise in people security, asset security, and digital security. This role requires strategic leadership, risk management acumen, and the ability to coordinate with various departments to ensure the safety and security of the organization's resources.

Key Responsibilities:

1. People Security:

- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of employees, contractors, and visitors.

- Conduct regular security risk assessments and audits to identify potential threats to personnel.

- Manage and oversee the performance of security staff, including hiring, training, and development.

- Develop emergency response and crisis management plans to protect personnel during incidents.

- Liaise with law enforcement and other external agencies to enhance security measures and response protocols.

2. Asset Security:

- Establish and maintain a comprehensive asset protection strategy to safeguard physical property and resources.

- Implement and oversee access control systems to prevent unauthorized entry to facilities.

- Develop and enforce policies for the safe storage, handling, and transportation of sensitive materials.

- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.

- Coordinate with facilities management to design and implement effective security infrastructure.

3. Digital Security:

- Oversee the development and implementation of the organization's cybersecurity strategy.

- Collaborate with IT and other relevant departments to protect digital assets, including data, software, and networks.

- Ensure the continuous monitoring and analysis of potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for data protection, including GDPR and other relevant regulations.

- Lead incident response efforts for cybersecurity breaches, including investigation, containment, and Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in security management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

- Proven experience in developing and implementing security strategies across people, asset, and digital domains.

- In-depth knowledge of security regulations, standards, and best practices.

- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.-

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) are highly desirable.
