IDfy - Software Support Engineer - Cloud Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Technical Support Engineer to join our growing Cloud Operations team.

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and performance of our cloud-based services by monitoring, investigating, and resolving technical issues.

Responsibilities :

- Define and implement monitoring events for IDfy's services using cloud platforms like GCP or AWS.

- Configure and set up alerts based on defined monitoring events for proactive issue identification.

- Respond to alerts, effectively triage issues, investigate root causes, and implement solutions.

- Deepen your understanding of IDfy applications and the events they generate.

- Develop and maintain analytical dashboards to monitor service performance and usage.

- Respond to customer tickets and incidents in a timely and efficient manner.

- Execute service recovery scripts when needed to restore functionality.

- Leverage your analytical skills to provide insights from investigations and root cause analysis to improve the IDfy platform.

Qualifications :

- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in technical product support.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of tasks.

- Clear logical thinking and a data-driven approach to problem-solving.

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like GCP or AWS.

- Experience with log monitoring tools like Kibana, Stackdriver, or CloudWatch.

- Experience creating dashboards and alerts with tools like Metabase, Grafana, or Prometheus (a plus).

- Experience with SQL queries (a plus).

- Knowledge of scripting languages like Elixir or Python (a plus)
