Location: Jaipur, IndiaType: Full-time, In-house (5 years of experience in fashion or textile design)Email portfolios to: recruitment@kochikochu.comAbout Kochi KochuKochi Kochu is a contemporary luxury label rooted in South Asian craftsmanship and shaped by global perspectives.We are building a new Indian house of slow fashion — where design, craft, and cultural storytelling come together to create modern heirlooms.Our Jaipur studio brings together artisans, designers, and creative thinkers redefining what “Made in India” means for a global audience.The RoleWe’re looking for a strong, hands-on designer who understands both creativity and construction — someone who can think like an artist, execute like a technician, and collaborate like a builder.You’ll work closely with our production team and artisans to develop silhouettes, embroidery, and prints that blend heritage and modernity — while also contributing to sourcing and material innovation.Responsibilities- Research and design new silhouettes aligned with Kochi Kochu’s aesthetic and storytelling. - Minimum 5 years of experience in fashion or textile design, with proven work on contemporary or luxury collections. - Develop prints and surface artworks, including placement layouts, scale, and graphic design refinement. - Create embroidery sheets for handwork teams with detailed references for stitches, beads, and color palettes. - Prepare comprehensive tech packs with fabric details, construction notes, and embroidery/print specifications. - Work with vendors and suppliers to source fabrics, trims, and materials across key Indian hubs (Jaipur, Delhi, Surat, Banaras, Kerala, etc.). - Collaborate with pattern makers and the sampling team to ensure accuracy from sketch to final garment. - Support creative direction for visual storytelling, campaigns, and lookbooks.Ideal Candidate- Background in fashion or textile design, with strong technical understanding. - Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar design software. - Experience in print development, embroidery mapping, and surface design detailing. - Preferably a graduate from design schools such as NID, NIFT, Pearl Academy, or similar reputed institutions known for design and craftsmanship. - Hands-on understanding of sourcing networks and craft clusters across India. - Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced studio. - Based in Jaipur or open to relocation for a full-time, in-house role.Why Join Kochi Kochu?Because this is your chance to be part of a founding creative team — shaping the language of a global luxury brand born in India.You’ll work with international mentors, master artisans, and creative thinkers who believe in the power of craftsmanship and storytelling.To Apply:Send your portfolio + CV to recruitment@kochikochu.com
