- Hands-on experience with Ab Initio software process design, build, test, release, and support. Able to build and release software with good testing and code quality. Good at designing and developing features that meet business needs.

- Experience in the banking industry.

- Worked with Ab Initio batch and continuous flows.

- Good knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.

- Experience working with large datasets cleaning, combining, and reporting.

- Skilled in Oracle, SQL, or other data tools.

- Used tools like GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Ab Initio Developer with 5 to 12 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing enterprise-scale data integration solutions using Ab Initio. The ideal candidate should have experience working with complex data workflows, performance tuning, and a solid understanding of ETL best practices, especially in the banking domain. This role requires strong technical expertise in Ab Initio, Unix/Linux, SQL, and scripting, along with familiarity in CI/CD and modern version control systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-performance ETL solutions using Ab Initio.

- Build batch and continuous flows, graphs, and plans using Ab Initio GDE and EME.

- Translate business and data requirements into effective ETL solutions that are scalable and maintainable.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support QA and UAT phases.

- Maintain high-quality code with appropriate error handling, logging, and performance optimizations.

- Handle large volumes of data, including data cleaning, combining, transformation, and reporting.

- Optimize existing data pipelines and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.

- Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and other developers to deliver complete and accurate solutions.

- Estimate development effort, timelines, and dependencies for assigned tasks.

- Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

- Support CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows using GitHub or similar tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio development (GDE, EME, Control Center, etc.).

- Experience designing and developing complex data pipelines using batch and continuous flow components.

- Strong expertise in Unix/Linux shell scripting and job automation.

- Proficient in SQL, preferably with Oracle; able to write complex queries and optimize database interactions.

- Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing principles, and data quality techniques.

- Experience working with large datasets and high-volume data processing environments.

- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

- Hands-on experience with version control tools like Git/GitHub and CI/CD tools.

- Prior experience working in the banking or financial services domain is highly desirable.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

-Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data lineage in Ab Initio.

- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms or hybrid environments.

- Experience integrating with scheduling tools like Autosys or Control-M.
