Job Purpose & Key Challenges
Purpose – To enhance trading of Petroleum and petrochemical business in Dubai.
Broad Responsibilities:
Marketing of Toluene, Hexane, Naphta, Baseoil, Acetic acid, C9, LAB, methanol, N Paraffin, etc.
Diversify the customer & supplier base. Identify new sources and buyers and complete on boarding formalities.
Develop new products & geographies (Identify the product, Prepare and submit Feasibility report, Profitable revenue generation.
Monitor and adhere with credit limits, open position limits and SOPs like Stop loss limits, New counterparty registrations, etc.
Liasioning with Government departments (customs, sales tax, licencing department etc.).
Review sales and collections to ensure regular orders follow-up and collections are made within specified credit periods.
Co-ordinate with Logistic and trade support teams for smooth operations.
Schedule and participate in monthly reviews with higher management.
Key Challenges:
Acquisition of new customers in a highly competitive industry.
Effective management of the product position after giving due consideration to trade volatility.
Counterparties in different time zones and job will require to work beyond office timings and odd hours.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
8-15 years of Experience in dealing in imported solvents and chemicals for PAINT/ COATING/ INK/ LAMINATE/ PHARMA/ RESIN/ AGRO industries.
MBA in Marketing/ International Trade
Commercial Acumen
Good analytical skills and ability to interpret market intelligence data for effective decision making
Ability to liaise effectively with external agencies with good networking skills
Job will involve frequent travel to meet customers/ clients/ ports etc.
