If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Risk Technology team in Mumbai.Risk Technology is a cross-functional team of software development specialists, geospatial information specialists, generative AI specialists and catastrophe / financial model specialists who bring best-in-class analytics, thought leadership and expertise in designing, building and supporting industry standard risk analysis tools.This is an exceptional opportunity to play a key role in developing the change capabilities of a global financial services organisation, where the focus will be on practical delivery and reacting to the highest value business needs.You will be able to use your practical experience to hit the ground running, contribute to building high quality solutions to help meet our complex business requirements, challenge the technical design and delivery choices, demonstrate you detail-oriented approach with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ensure a successful delivery.The RoleUse your natural drive and deep expertise of Azure cloud technologies to evolve usage and enable successful software delivery whilst developing deep domain knowledge.Work with the Lead Cloud Architect to implement strategies for providing class leading web-based applications and services, using cloud best practices, as a technical expertImprove the technical solution for application technical architecture and deployment utilizing existing & new Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure complete coverage and reusabilityProvide support, advice and steer to application delivery teams in relation to use of cloud technologiesProvide support and advice to DevOps team on releases and deployments and Support team on ongoing incidents where requiredDemonstrate agility, ability to think outside the box and challenge established processes and proceduresBring your enthusiasm and drive to improve and work smarter to benefit our tools and products through awareness of technology trends and direction outside of the organisationAdhere to, promote and improve cloud standards and practices, collaborate on improvements to standards and build relationships with central cloud architecture community.The RequirementsEssential:Strong work ethic and curiosity with a desire to improve yourself through your workMinimum of 10 years hands-on Azure cloud experience as a Developer, DevOps or Cloud ArchitectDemonstratable understanding of Azure services, solutions and core concepts including networking, compute, data and application servicesAwareness of DevOps tools and practices, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Azure DevOps.Experience working with groups following Agile methodologiesAbility to work on own initiative or as part of a broader project teamFirst-rate communication skills and ability to apply these to rapid and creative problem solving in an occasionally pressurised environment.Comfortable working remotely or presenting in person in meetings with senior stakeholdersDesirable:Degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Science, Computer Science etc.)Experience understanding and translating complex business processes involving stakeholder groups and perspectivesExperience of working in a financial services organisation, preferably with exposure to the insurance industry/insurance broking. Where this directly relevant experience is not available, we will be looking for an ability to rapidly become effective in a new, unfamiliar environmentThe successful applicant will report to the Risk Technology Mumbai Dev Manager, with functional links to the Risk Technology Lead Cloud Architect.The role offers hybrid working with travel to office expected on a regular, weekly, cadence for meetings and workshops.Some occasional travel may be required as part of the engagement with business and technology stakeholders.Qualifications Degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Science, Computer Science etc.)
