Key Responsibilities : - Develop, maintain, and optimize SAS programs using SAS/BASE, SAS SQL, SAS Macros, and various procedures such as Proc SQL, Proc Transpose, etc.- Work on ETL processes, handle large volumes of data, and support data movement and transformation.- Ensure data quality, validation, and integrity through robust data management and QA practices.- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and workflows.- Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to support reporting and data integration initiatives.- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues efficiently and independently.- Document processes, technical specifications, and data flows to support data lineage and audit requirements.Mandatory Skills : Strong expertise in SAS programming, including : - SAS/BASE (Data Step programming)- SAS/SQL- SAS MacrosKey procedures like Proc SQL, Proc Transpose, etc.- Good understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.- Knowledge of data validation, data quality, and data lineage methodologies.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and communicate technical topics effectively.- Experience in analyzing complex datasets and supporting reporting/data initiatives.Preferred Qualifications : - Exposure to tools like Informatica, Power BI, Tableau, or R is a plus.- Understanding of pharma, banking, or healthcare domains is an advantage.- Experience in agile or hybrid project environments.
