The Placement Manager role involves overseeing and managing student placements, ensuring successful outcomes for both students and companies.

The key responsibilities and skills required for this position:


1.Responsibilities:

  1. Student Placements: As a Placement Manager, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and facilitating student placements. This includes connecting students with suitable job opportunities, organizing recruitment drives, and ensuring smooth placement processes.
  2. Lateral Placements: Experience in lateral placements (placing experienced professionals) is highly advantageous. You’ll need to understand the specific requirements of lateral hiring.
  3. Company Visits: Developing and executing monthly visit plans to various companies is crucial. These visits help establish relationships and explore placement opportunities.
  4. Resume Review: Regularly reviewing and monitoring student resumes ensures that they are well-prepared for interviews.
  5. Promoting Services: Promoting executive education, consultancy services, and training programs helps enhance the institutions reputation and industry connections.
  6. Database Management: Maintaining a comprehensive database of companies, including contact details of relevant personnel, streamlines communication during placements.
  7. Networking Events: Organizing HR meets and events fosters corporate networking and strengthens industry ties.
  8. Academic Collaborations: Facilitating collaborations between academia and industry benefits both students and employers.
  9. Progress Reports: Keeping track of student placements and maintaining progress reports is essential.
  10. Feedback Collection: Collecting feedback from companies participating in placements helps improve the process.
  11. Documentation: Ensuring all required documentation is accurate and up to date is critical.


2.Experience Required:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in training and placement is preferred. This experience provides insights into effective placement strategies and industry dynamics.


3.Skills Required:

  1. Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for interacting with students, companies, and other stakeholders.
  2. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills allow you to build and maintain relationships with industry professionals.
