The HR Operations-Compensation Expert will play a key role in managing payroll processing, employee benefits, compliance, HR metrics, and process improvements. This individual will ensure smooth onboarding, accurate documentation, and adherence to HR policies and statutory requirements. They will also support performance management and contribute to improving HR operational efficiency through scalable processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll & Employee Benefits Administration:
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including salary revisions, deductions, and bonuses.
- Administer employee benefits like insurance, and facilitate timely payout of employee referral bonuses.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure compliance with tax and statutory obligations.
Onboarding & Documentation:
- Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
- Prepare joining kits, issue ID cards, and maintain updated records for all new joiners.
- Conduct new hire orientations on company policies, benefits, and procedures.
HR Compliance & Policies:
- Ensure adherence to HR compliance, including conducting compliance training for employees.
- Maintain the HR policies repository, ensuring policies are up-to-date and compliant with legal regulations.
- Manage statutory requirements, including Leave & Gratuity Actuarial, and other labor-related laws.
HR Metrics & Data Management:
- Track and report key HR metrics, such as employee attrition rates, manpower budgeting, and exit interview data.
- Maintain and update employee databases, ensuring accuracy in records.
- Prepare monthly reports on HR metrics and provide insights for decision-making.
Performance Management Process:
- Assist in planning and executing the performance management cycle, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback processes.
- Ensure timely completion of performance appraisals and manage related documentation.
Process Improvement & Audits:
- Identify areas for improvement in HR processes and develop scalable solutions for enhanced efficiency.
- Participate in internal and external audits related to HR operations, ensuring full compliance.
Minimum requirement:
- 5+ years of experience in HR operations, payroll, and compensation management.
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance and statutory requirements.
- Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems and data management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of labor laws and payroll tax regulations.
- Experience in performance management processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a process improvement mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other HR analytics tools.
