DESCRIPTION

The COE Operations Excellence JM role applies developing business process and project management skills to support initiatives within a business or technical specialty. Working under the supervision of a project manager, the incumbent manages small portions of well-defined projects while providing administrative, analytical, and logistical support to project teams. The position contributes to project planning, execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement activities to ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a support resource on projects and work assignments, developing knowledge in project management and business processes.

Assist in identifying, tracking, and resolving project issues; build capability to do this independently.

Monitor and communicate project status to stakeholders and team members.

Provide support in budget planning, expense tracking, and analytical research.

Assist in creating and maintaining project plans, timelines, and supporting documentation.

Contribute to project risk management by applying quality tools to identify and mitigate risks.

Support documentation, lessons learned, and knowledge sharing across teams.

Maintain project notes, databases, and performance measures; provide updates to project managers.

Qualifications and Skills

Education, Licenses, and Certifications (External)

High school diploma or secondary education certificate required; equivalent experience may be considered.

College or equivalent degree preferred.

May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience (External)

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through training or on-the-job experience.

Internal Candidate Qualifications

Engineering graduate with 35 years of experience in Industrial Engineering and Lean Management.
