Description : Job Title : Tosca Testsuite Test Automation SpecialistFunction : Quality Assurance / Test AutomationExperience : 5 - 10 yearsLocation : KochiRole SummaryThe Tosca Testsuite Test Automation Specialist is a senior role requiring 5 - 10 years of dedicated experience in implementing and maintaining automated testing solutions primarily using the Tricentis Tosca Testsuite.This position demands deep technical expertise in both Tosca UI automation for complex web applications and robust API automation.The specialist will be crucial in developing the automation framework, driving best practices, managing distributed execution via Tosca DEX, and maintaining required professional certifications.Primary Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and resilient end-to-end automation test cases using Tricentis Tosca Testsuite, focusing specifically on UI automation for complex Web Applications.- Architect and implement comprehensive API Automation test suites within Tosca, ensuring coverage for RESTful and SOAP services, including advanced data handling and payload validation.- Apply in-depth knowledge of TOSCA best practices (e.g., Object Identification, Steering Parameters, Test Case Design, Module Management) to ensure the development of modular, robust, and maintainable automation assets.- Drive the continuous development and enhancement of the core Tosca Test Automation Framework, establishing consistent naming conventions, data management strategies, and reusability standards.- Implement and manage distributed test execution leveraging the Tosca DEX (Distributed Execution) concept, ensuring efficient and timely execution of large regression suites across various test environments.- Maintain absolute compliance with required professional certifications : Tosca AS1 & AS2 (Automation Specialist), TDS1 and TDS2 (Test Case Design Specialist), and API certification.- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and Quality Assurance teams to integrate Tosca automation into the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.- Participate in architectural discussions to understand enterprise-wide networks and software implementation landscapes, ensuring the automation framework is compatible and effective across the technology stack.- Engage in effective, constructive communication with distributed working groups, clearly articulating technical challenges, progress, and automation strategy decisions.- Contribute to performance and quality management by establishing and maintaining traceability between requirements and test cases, particularly through exposure to integration tools like qTest.Required Technical Skills- Tosca Core Expertise : In-depth, hands-on experience (5-10 years) utilizing Tricentis Tosca Testsuite for end-to-end automation across multiple projects.- UI Automation : Expert proficiency in Tosca UI automation, including advanced XScan techniques, dynamic object identification, and steering controls for complex Web Applications.- API Automation : Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing API tests within Tosca, covering various authentication methods and data verification techniques.- Framework Development : Proven experience in designing, implementing, and governing Tosca Test Automation Frameworks and establishing reusability standards.- TOSCA Certifications : Mandatory certification requirements : TOSCA AS1 & AS2, TDS1 and TDS2, and API Specialist.- DEX Implementation : Practical, working experience with implementing and managing Tosca DEX Execution for load balancing and efficient test deployment.Preferred Skills- Exposure to implementing and supporting Mobile Automation test cases using the TOSCA Mobile Engine.- Familiarity with the integration and traceability between TOSCA and external Test Management tools, particularly qTest.- Strong understanding of continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI) and integrating Tosca execution into automated deployment pipelines.- Knowledge of other coding/scripting languages (VBScript, C#) for custom Tosca controls or execution scripts.- Experience with database validation using Tosca (DB Expert Module) to verify transactional integrity.- Strong conceptual knowledge of enterprise application architecture and networking basics.
