Key Responsibilities : - Lead end-to-end Shopify, Shopify Plus and Shopify for Enterprise development projects from requirement gathering to go-live.- Architect scalable and high-performing Shopify solutions with a focus on performance, SEO, and conversion.- Oversee and mentor the development team perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure best practices.- Collaborate with the Sales team, Designers, BAs, and PMs to translate business needs into technical solutions, define architecture, provide an estimation and be able to give demos.- Develop custom Shopify apps, backend services (using NodeJS or Python), API integrations, and third-party service connections.- Manage Shopify migrations from other platforms like WooCommerce, Magento, or custom builds.- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing Shopify stores.- Drive automation, reusability, and adoption of AI-driven tools for faster and better-quality output.- Ensure compliance with security, performance, and accessibility standards.- Stay updated with new Shopify releases, Liquid updates, and eCommerce trends.Technical Skills Required : - Strong expertise in Shopify, Shopify Plus, and Liquid templating language.- Experience in custom theme and app development (public and private).- Proficiency in any one backend technology NodeJS or Python (NodeJS preferred).- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, and REST/GraphQL APIs.- Experience with Shopify API integrations (ERP, CRM, Payment, Shipping).- Familiarity with Headless Commerce and frontend frameworks (ReactJS, Next.js) is a plus.- Knowledge of Shopify CLI, GIT, Azure DevOps, and deployment pipelines.- Experience in optimizing Shopify SEO, site speed, and conversion tracking.- Understanding of Shopify Storefront API and Hydrogen framework (preferred).- Good understanding of Shopify Apps ecosystem and marketplace submission guidelines.Leadership & Soft Skills : - Proven ability to lead and mentor a small to mid-sized team.- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.- Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with clients and stakeholders.- Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.- Eagerness to learn new technologies, adapt to evolving tools, exploring AI-assisted development and drive innovation.Certificate : - Shopify Certification (preferred but not mandatory).
