UI/UX Designer- Geospatial AI

Owns the design strategy and user experience of the KhetPe platform. Acts as the voice of the user: creates and validates wireframes, prototypes, and design systems that bring simplicity, trust, and impact to farmer-centric digital experiences. Conducts user research, usability testing, and collaborates with Product and Engineering to deliver intuitive, accessible, and delightful interfaces that drive adoption, retention, and farmer empowerment.

Roles & Responsibilities

➔ Own design strategy and quarterly UX roadmap aligned to KhetPe business and product goals.

➔ Translate product requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fi delity designs using Figma and Miro.

➔ Defi ne and maintain design systems, UI patterns, and style guides to ensure visual and functional consistency.

➔ Partner with Product Owners to convert epics and user stories into design deliverables with clear acceptance criteria.

➔ Conduct end-to-end user research: interviews, fi eld visits, surveys, and usability testing with farmers, FPOs, and partners.

➔ Translate feedback into actionable design improvements, balancing usability, accessibility, and technical feasibility.

➔ Champion UX for rural contexts: vernacular fl ows, low-bandwidth/offl ine-fi rst design, accessibility, and culturally relevant trust cues. SWANSAT GROUP

➔ Collaborate closely with Engineering to ensure pixel-perfect handoff, clarity on design specifi cations, and smooth implementation.

➔ Run design experiments (A/B testing, prototypes) and analyze outcomes to optimize key funnels (onboarding, engagement, transactions).

➔ Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, data privacy guidelines, and local regulations in all user interfaces.

➔ Prepare demos, storyboards, and training material for cross-functional launches with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.

➔ Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitor interfaces, and evolving UX best practices to keep KhetPe ahead.

➔ Report weekly on design progress, open issues, and risks; ensure alignment with Product and Engineering teams.

Candidate Profile & Skill Requirements

Experience:

● 5–8 years in UI/UX design, with at least 3 years designing for mobile-fi rst products at scale.

● Proven experience shipping rural customer-facing or mass-market apps with measurable adoption and engagement impact.

● Hands-on experience conducting fi eld research and usability testing with diverse user groups.

Core Skills:

● Expertise in Figma / Adobe XD, and prototyping tools.

● Strong command of information architecture, interaction design, and visual hierarchy.

● User research, usability testing, A/B testing, and iterative design practices.

● Familiarity with design for low-bandwidth, multilingual, and offl ine-fi rst contexts.

● Ability to create design systems and scalable UI libraries.

● Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and awareness of front-end engineering constraints.
