Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Minimum 3+ years of experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting OneStream.

- Strong knowledge of OneStream Financial Consolidation, Planning, Reporting, and Analytics modules.

- Expertise in OneStream Business Rules, Workflows, Data Integration, and ETL processes.

- Proficient in SQL and experience with scripting languages like JavaScript, .NET, or VBScript for customizations.

- Hands-on experience with OneStream XF (e.g., building applications, dimension management, and report creation).

- Solid understanding of financial processes (e.g., budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and close processes).

- Experience integrating OneStream with other systems (e.g., ERP, GL, CRM, data warehouses).

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and deployments.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with OneStream Market Place and deploying pre-built solutions.

- Knowledge of Oracle, SAP, or Hyperion platforms, or similar enterprise performance management systems.

- Preferred to have Certified in OneStream Financial Consolidation or OneStream Planning modules.

Here are the key roles and responsibilities for a OneStream developer in a Big 4 firm :

1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis :

- Collaborate with Business and Technical Teams : Work closely with business stakeholders, finance teams, and technical architects to understand the requirements for consolidations, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

- Translate Business Needs : Convert these business requirements into technical specifications for OneStream development and customization.

- Document Requirements : Maintain detailed documentation of all system specifications and use cases to ensure alignment with client needs.

2. OneStream Application Development :

- Cube Design and Configuration : Develop financial models and cubes (e.g., Data, Consolidation, Reporting, and Metadata cubes) within OneStream to meet reporting and analysis requirements.

- Workflow Configuration: Set up workflows to automate and streamline tasks like period-end close, consolidation, and data submission processes.

- Custom Calculations : Implement custom business rules, calculations, and financial logic based on client requirements.

- Report Development : Create customized financial reports and dashboards using OneStream's report designer tools, ensuring data is presented clearly and accurately.

3. System Integration :

- Data Integration : Work with data integration tools (e.g., OneStream XF, ODI, Informatica) to integrate data from external financial systems (ERPs, GL systems) into OneStream.

- Data Quality Assurance : Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data being loaded into OneStream.

- ETL Processes : Design and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to support data flows and ensure seamless data synchronization between OneStream and external systems.

4. Testing & Validation :

- Unit Testing and Debugging : Perform testing to validate the functionality and performance of developed solutions, ensuring the system meets client requirements.

- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) : Support UAT sessions, ensuring that end users can successfully interact with the system and report any issues.

- Troubleshooting : Resolve issues and provide solutions to any bugs or system errors in the development or production environments.

5. System Maintenance & Support :

- Ongoing Support : Provide ongoing maintenance and support to ensure the OneStream system remains operational, including troubleshooting issues, applying updates, and ensuring performance optimization.

- System Optimization : Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization to improve system speed and reliability.

- User Training : Train end-users on how to use OneStream for reporting, data entry, and analysis.

6. Documentation and Reporting :

- Technical Documentation : Create and maintain thorough technical documentation, such as system configurations, reports, and development processes.

7. Collaboration & Project Management :

- Implement Best Practices : Stay up to date with OneStream's latest features and best practices and ensure they are applied in the project.

- Innovate Solutions : Identify and implement innovative solutions to optimize processes, enhance system functionalities, or improve reporting efficiency.

9. Compliance & Security :

- Data Security : Ensure that data security protocols and privacy regulations (such as GDPR) are followed during development and throughout the lifecycle of the OneStream platform.

- Audit & Compliance : Ensure that solutions meet internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards, particularly in relation to financial reporting and data access.
