Requirement: Business Analyst Domain Expert (Energy Utilities/Transition)

 

Job Location: Pune, Baner. Work from Office, Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM. 

 

Experience : 5+ years relevant experience

 

 

Requirements

Responsibilities :

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
  
• Should have strong international client facing skills and cross team/group/organisation collaboration skills.
  
• Translate complex energy-related concepts into understandable features and use cases for technical teams.
  
• Create detailed workflows, data models, and specifications to support product design and development.
  
• Apply deep knowledge of DERMS, Microgrids, VPP, and V2G technologies to guide product features and market fit. 
  
• Comprehensive assessments and feasibility studies for implementing DER Management Systems (DERMS), Microgrids, Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), and Virtual Power Plants (VPP), optimizing grid operations and integrating renewable energy sources. 
  
• Stay updated with policy and regulatory trends affecting distributed energy and grid integration.
  
• Identification of new use cases, preparation of logical flows, functional design, wireframes and business process optimization.
  
• Writing and reviewing features and user Stories with the customer, Product Manager, Architects and Tech Leads to ensure they meet customer and product needs.
  
• Serve as the voice of the customer and domain expert within the team
  

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy Systems, Business, or related field.
  
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis and/or product ownership roles in the energy or utility sector.
  
• Proven domain expertise in DERMS , Microgrid , and/or VPP .
  
• Solid understanding of power systems, energy markets, distributed energy resources, and utility operations.
  
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience of working on an Enterprise software development project, with team sizes larger than 10 members Excellent written and Verbal communication skills - there will be regular calls and meetings with clients Should have prior experience working in an Agile software development project – At least 2 years experience You will work closely with the customer teams for demonstrating features developed. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. Should have experience in transforming requirements to software design. Good to have: able to understand requirements related to IoT, Utilities, Connected devices Responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business Candidates should have good analytical skills and should be able to work independently.
