The ESAB Project Enterprise – SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Lead plays a pivotal role in driving the successful implementation, configuration, and optimization of our warehouse management processes within the SAP S/4HANA environment.

Shift: Night Shift

Location: Chennai Ambattur

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall EWM strategy, aligning it with the organization's business objectives and future growth plans.
  • Lead the EWM team, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA EWM functionalities, including warehouse processes, inventory management, put-away and picking strategies, and yard management.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest EWM trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the implementation of EWM solutions, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live activities.
  • Configure EWM parameters, master data, and workflows to optimize warehouse operations and meet business requirements.
  • Ensure seamless integration of EWM with other SAP modules, such as MM, PP, and SD.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within the warehouse.
  • Analyze current warehouse processes and propose innovative solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs.
  • Troubleshoot EWM issues and provide timely resolution to minimize disruptions to warehouse operations.
  • Identify and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Effectively communicate changes and impacts to business users, ensuring a smooth transition to new processes and systems.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to maximize system adoption and utilization.
  • Expert in SAP S/4HANA EWM module: Possess in-depth knowledge of the EWM functionalities.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and track the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Stay Current: Maintain strong knowledge of evolving SAP technologies and best practices through continuous learning and development.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand and document the EWM process flow across various SAP modules.
  • Perform fit to standard analysis and define business requirements for the EWM process
  • Configure Fiori apps and workflows to improve user experience and process efficiency.
  • Collaborate with developers and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of EWM functionalities with other SAP modules and systems.
  • Develop and document detailed functional specifications for EWM processes and integrations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, Logistics, IT) to define requirements, gather business inputs, and ensure smooth go-lives.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans for EWM functionality, including regression testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to users on new EWM functionalities and system changes.
  • Conduct user training and provide ongoing support to ensure user adoption and efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest S/4HANA innovations and best practices, suggesting continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze EWM performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Partner with other functional teams to ensure alignment of EWM processes with broader business objectives.
  • Document processes, configurations, and procedures for future reference and knowledge transfer.
  • Analyze existing warehouse processes and identify opportunities for improvement in terms of efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Participating in system upgrades and migrations
  • Collaborating with IT and other teams to ensure integration and data integrity
  • Participate in EWM project teams, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest SAP S/4HANA EWM features and updates.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an SAP S/4HANA EWM Functional Consultant, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum of 3 different implementation projects
  • Proven experience in configuring SAP S/4HANA for EWM functionalities
  • Strong understanding of Fiori apps and UI5 development concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to process optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
