About the Company Salesmonk is building the next generation of AI-powered GTM. Led by an exited SaaS founder with deep experience in building and scaling global SaaS businesses. About the Role We are hiring our Founding AE / GTM Lead to own the customer journey from qualified opportunity to successful close — and to help shape our go-to-market motion. This is not a prospecting role. You will step into a pipeline already being generated by our outbound team and focus on deep discovery, solutioning, deal management, and closing. We’re looking for someone who has lived the SaaS 0→1 journey and knows how to turn early customer conversations into repeatable wins. You’ll partner directly with the founders to refine our ICP, craft the sales playbook, and lay the foundation for scaling revenue. What You’ll Do Own the end-to-end sales cycle once a qualified opportunity is generated: discovery, product deep-dive, value articulation, negotiation, and close. Work directly with the founders to refine ICPs, messaging, and commercial models. Capture and synthesise customer feedback to influence product roadmap and GTM strategy. Build and document the first repeatable sales playbook (qualification, objection handling, pricing/packaging). Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure smooth handoff and strong initial adoption. Represent the company externally with customers, partners, and industry communities. Grow into a GTM leadership role — building the AE team, training, and mentoring future hires. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in a SaaS startup’s 0→1 journey, ideally being part of the first sales/GTM hires and helping scale to repeatable revenue. 3–6 years of SaaS sales or GTM experience with a consistent record of closing deals. Strong consultative selling skills, able to run discovery and solutioning with senior decision-makers. Excellent written and verbal communication; able to simplify technical/AI-driven offerings into business value. Entrepreneurial and hands-on: thrives in ambiguity, builds systems where none exist. Interest in AI, SaaS, and building next-gen GTM motions.
